Meet the Artist Behind TruPoint Designs.

BIO

Metro Atlanta-based graphic designer,  Tiffany "Tru" Mitchell, has been developing her skills in creating digital multimedia products since 2017.  Her evolution into graphic design was shaped by her background as an Army Public Affairs Mass Communications Specialist. For five years, Tru created digital multimedia products that helped to tell the Army’s story. From infographics to producing training videos, she had the privilege of documenting U.S. Special Forces training events as well as being a photographer for presidential visits. Tru has won numerous awards for her contributions to improving how public affairs soldiers document training exercises and natural disaster response efforts.

Since leaving the service, Tru’s work in the Army has prepared her for a collegiate career in art, more specifically graphic design and communications. During her time in school, she excelled academically and was accepted into Kennesaw State University’s (KSU) Journey Honors College, earning the 2023 Journey Honors College Merit Gala Scholarship. As she prepares to graduate from KSU this spring with her BFA in Art, her goal is to be admitted into the Emerging Media graduate program at the Lamar Dood School of Art, University of Georgia to further her education in the graphic design and mass communications field.

As an artist, being able to craft aesthetically pleasing designs for her clients is extremely satisfying and drives her to constantly think outside the box. Heavily influenced by minimalism, Tru’s work encompasses clean, sleek, monochromatic logos and posters. Utilizing software such as Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Procreate, the smooth lines and geometric shapes she creates help guide viewers of her work across the page. Her previous works include creating mock social media campaigns for Taylor Port Wine and the U.S. Army. The latter combines her previous photography works and the typographic skills she recently acquired during undergrad. Incorporating her love of photography and typographic designs allows Tru to further explore the design principles of hierarchy and balance. Currently, she is working with Palmer & Cay, LLC. to create logo designs, and various flyers/infographics for the company's employee benefits service: the Benefit Butler.
